I did a post on rice balloon cake or "wind cake" back in 2008. Wind cake really wasn't the right name; I guess I got carried away as these puffy cakes can at times resemble surfboards crossed with balloons or overblown paraglider chutes. Baramtuck should instead be called rice balloon cake, the closest representation of what it really is. In any case, it is ubiquitous in Korea, and they are puffilicious!
